Responsible for full project and program management of European Monetary Union directives and Year 2000 Technology changes for all EMEA locations (Europe & Africa) with focus predominantly on the products and markets for equities and listed derivatives markets for this large global financial institution.
In this remit detailed familiarisation with the front to back processes and systems flow dependencies were required with focus on technology solutions, preparation of contingency plans, business continuity planning and market testing requirements.
There was specific emphasis on the full business trading cycle including trading systems environment, business strategy, confirmations, payments, brokerage links, counterparty and depositories requirements. There was also review of the payments and settlements functionality involving clearing agents and accounting methodology for comprehensive trial balance entries and reporting. Conducted a detailed assessment to facilitate the use of operations systems GL net and Clearvision in London on behalf of the client’s Paris office.
